A Getaway!

When you start collecting kids like we have, a "getaway" may not be a lavish three week vacation at a resort in Turks & Caicos, but just any chance to escape the ordinary, everyday life. And we need that. We need to escape!

Chris and I have talked about 3 places we may go this Spring on a quick trip, but haven't made any final decisions just yet. One place is near my family, but there's not much in that area we want to see or do. The other is, of course, near Chris's family as well as dear friends of ours who've asked us to visit. The third option is appealing because it's not too far plus has tons of stuff for our whole family to do, see, and enjoy. It's somewhere we've been multiple times before and always liked. However, it's the only of the 3 options that does not directly enable us to visit family or friends. Hmmm...decisions, decisions.

We have some time to ponder and plan, but we're still already excited! I (vaguely) remember a time before we had children when we'd be spontaneous newlyweds and just get in a car and go somewhere for a weekend. Obviously now more preparation is required, but getting away for fun memories with our kids is worth the extra steps for sure! Can't wait to see where we'll end up!

And who knows, maybe as Winter winds down we'll add a couple more choices to the list...got any toddler-friendly location suggestions?
