Most of you don't know our little guy's been sick, right?
See, I don't tell you EVERYTHING!
See, I don't tell you EVERYTHING!
For the last week and a half Josiah's had a little virus. Nothing major--trust me, once you've been through Rotavirus with your first child that involved 5 days in a hospital with an IV in her scalp, a little tummy bug for the second kid is nothin'! As pics show in previous entries, he's been feeling well enough to play and such. The big whammy has been his lack of sleep, both in nap time and overnight. Josiah started sleeping through the night at just 2 weeks old. He's now
9 mo. and 2 weeks old. So, doing the math, we've been accustomed to sleeping through the night for virtually all his life (with a couple exceptions here or there). Fortunately Siah's feeling better and things are getting back to normal.

Yesterday was JoJo's belated 9 month well-checkup with the pediatrician (belated due to the aforementioned virus). The doc says Josiah's doing awesome and his growth percentages have remained consistent for the last 9 months. Dr. C was also impressed to learn that Josiah's standing and attempting cruising at this age (he even got to see lil' guy in action!). Kyleigh was early at all her first year milestones, too, so it seems "normal" in our world, meaning it's all Chris and I know in our experience as parents. I know other parents experience one kid walking at 10 mo and another at 15 mo, etc, but for now it seems our kids have taken similar tracks, and that's kinda neat.
JoJo was a happy baby from our wait in the lobby 'til we drove away toward home...except for the standard hemoglobin test that required the nurse to prick his toe! Awww, poor guy! But during this visit no immunizations were required--woo hoo! Yay for a healthy baby!
